Malinska Spring Break – Culture, Nature and Island Experiences
🇬🇧 Malinska Spring Break takes place from April 17, 2026 at 18:00 until May 10, 2026 at 12:00. The program runs across selected weekends and combines workshops, guided tours and local experiences focused on the cultural and natural heritage of the island of Krk.
Program
Fridays (Apr 17, Apr 24, May 1, May 8) – 18:00
• Glagolitic calligraphy workshop with candles and wine
• Learn about the development of the Glagolitic script in Croatia
• Introduction to tools used by Glagolitic scribes
• Practice writing Croatian angular Glagolitic letters and numbers
• Basics of Glagolitic calligraphy
Saturdays (Apr 18, Apr 25, May 2, May 9)
• 10:00 – Guided interpretive walk “Drmun: a Krk phenomenon” (up to 120 min)
• Walk combining cultural and natural heritage with active participation
• 17:30 – Interpretive storytelling tour “Voice of Heritage, Rhythm of Time”
• Learn about sopele, surlice, traditional costumes and local customs
• 18:00 – Surlice making workshop
• Preparation of traditional handmade pasta from the island of Krk
• Flavours of the Island of Krk
• Presentation of local products
• Sailor’s knot tying workshop
• Music program with food and beverage offer
Sundays (Apr 19, Apr 26, May 3, May 10) – 10:00
• Guided interpretive walk “Cickini” (up to 120 min)
• Visit to the abandoned village of Srsic
• Tour of the archaeological site of Cickini
• Visit to the archaeological collection with preserved remains
Pricing and participation
• Package price: 40.00 EUR per person
• Ticket valid for one weekend of the program
• Children up to 6.99 years: free
• Children from 7 to 11.99 years: 50% discount
