The City of Krk will once again become an unmissable destination this spring for all lovers of authentic island flavors. The new edition of the gastronomic campaign Travel to Taste Krk / Put do okusa Krka brings carefully designed menus from our restaurateurs, based on local ingredients, regional knowledge, and the rich culinary heritage of the island and the city of Krk.
The initiative gains special significance in 2026, when Kvarner holds the title of European Region of Gastronomy. This prestigious recognition confirms the quality, authenticity, and sustainability of Kvarner’s eno-gastronomic scene, and the Travel to Taste Krk project strongly contributes to its promotion by highlighting local products, tradition, and a contemporary approach to cuisine.
From April 1 until the end of May, during the spring months, fourteen gastro venues in the City of Krk area offer special promotional menus that successfully combine tradition with modern gastronomy.
Travel to Taste Krk 2026 once again positions the City of Krk as the center of island gastronomy and invites you to discover, through selected restaurants, taverns, and tasting rooms, the flavors that shape the identity of our region.
The promotional menus are inspired by authentic recipes and seasonal ingredients, and each dish tells a story of the island—from Krk lamb and homemade šurlice pasta to Krk prosciutto, island cheeses, premium olive oil, and a glass of Vrbnik Žlahtina.
