🇬🇧 This challenging cycling route takes you deep into the authentic heart of Krk Island, far beyond the coastline. Starting in Krk Town, the trail climbs through the island’s green interior, passing small traditional villages like Oštrobradići, Žgombići and Kremenići.
You’ll ride through Sv. Vid Miholjice with its Parish Church of St Michael the Archangel, continue towards Gabonjin where the Glagolitic Park, the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Glagolitic Path with the small Church of St Peter await.
The route then leads to Kras with the Church of St Anthony of Padua, before continuing through nature to one of the island’s hidden highlights – the ancient “koprivić” tree and the nearby Misučajnica pond.
The final descent back to Krk is unforgettable, passing olive groves, traditional dry stone walls and offering breathtaking views over Puntarska Draga, Košljun island and the Punat area. Before reaching the finish, you’ll also pass the early Romanesque Church of St Donatus near Kornić.

🇩🇪 Diese anspruchsvollere Route führt dich mitten durch das ursprüngliche Herz der Insel Krk – fernab der Küste. Start ist in Krk Stadt, von wo aus es durch grüne Landschaften und kleine Dörfer wie Oštrobradići, Žgombići und Kremenići geht.
Du fährst durch Sv. Vid Miholjice mit der Pfarrkirche St. Michael, weiter nach Gabonjin mit dem Glagolitischen Park, der Kirche des Heiligsten Herzens Jesu sowie dem Glagolitischen Lehrpfad und der Kirche St. Peter.
Anschließend führt die Route nach Kras zur Kirche St. Antonius von Padua und weiter durch die Natur zu einem besonderen Highlight – dem alten „Koprivić“-Baum und dem Misučajnica-Teich.
Die Abfahrt zurück nach Krk führt durch Olivenhaine und Trockensteinmauern und bietet spektakuläre Ausblicke auf die Bucht von Punat, Košljun und die Umgebung. Kurz vor dem Ziel passierst du außerdem die frühromanische Kirche St. Donatus bei Kornić.

🇭🇷 Ova zahtjevnija biciklistička ruta vodi kroz pravo srce otoka Krka, daleko od obale. Počinje u gradu Krku i prolazi kroz zelenu unutrašnjost otoka te mala mjesta poput Oštrobradića, Žgombića i Kremenića.
Ruta prolazi kroz Sv. Vid Miholjice s crkvom sv. Mihovila, zatim prema Gabonjinu gdje se nalaze Glagoljski park, crkva Presvetog Srca Isusova te Glagoljska staza i crkva sv. Petra.
Dalje vodi prema Krasu i crkvi sv. Antuna Padovanskog, a zatim kroz prirodu do jednog od posebnih mjesta – starog stabla koprivića i lokve Misučajnica.
Završni spust prema gradu Krku vodi kroz maslinike i suhozide s prekrasnim pogledom na Puntarsku dragu i otočić Košljun. Prije dolaska prolazi se i pored crkve sv. Donata kod Kornića.
