🇬🇧 A natural escape by the sea
Vela Luka is one of the most beautiful and untouched bays near Baška and a true highlight for anyone looking for nature and peace.
You can reach the bay either by hiking or by taxi boat. The hike takes around 2 to 2.5 hours per way and leads along the coast through a rocky, barren landscape. It is quite demanding and requires good endurance, especially in summer, but rewards you with stunning sea views. Alternatively, a taxi boat will take you there in just 10 to 15 minutes, offering a relaxed and scenic ride along the coastline.
The bay stretches about 1.8 km and ends in a large beach with clear water, perfect for swimming and relaxing. There is also a small bar or restaurant, as well as sunbeds and umbrellas available.
The area also has historical significance, with remains of a Roman settlement and Byzantine ruins found nearby.

Die Vela Luka ist eine der schönsten und ursprünglichsten Buchten bei Baška und ein echtes Highlight für alle, die Ruhe und Natur suchen.
Du erreichst die Bucht entweder zu Fuß oder mit dem Taxi-Boot. Die Wanderung dauert etwa 2 bis 2,5 Stunden pro Strecke und führt entlang der Küste durch eine karge, felsige Landschaft. Sie ist anspruchsvoll und erfordert Ausdauer, wird aber mit tollen Ausblicken belohnt. Alternativ bringt dich ein Taxi-Boot in nur 10 bis 15 Minuten entspannt ans Ziel.
Die Bucht ist etwa 1,8 km lang und endet in einem großen Strand mit klarem Wasser – ideal zum Schwimmen und Entspannen. Vor Ort gibt es eine kleine Bar sowie Liegen und Sonnenschirme.
Auch geschichtlich ist die Gegend spannend, mit Überresten einer römischen Siedlung und byzantinischen Ruinen.

Vela Luka je jedna od najljepših i najnetaknutijih uvala u blizini Baška i pravo je mjesto za sve koji traže mir i prirodu.
Do uvale možete doći pješice ili taxi brodom. Pješačenje traje oko 2 do 2,5 sata u jednom smjeru i vodi uz obalu kroz surov, kameniti krajolik. Staza je zahtjevna i traži dobru kondiciju, ali pruža prekrasne poglede na more. Taxi brod vas može dovesti za samo 10 do 15 minuta uz ugodnu vožnju uz obalu.
Uvala je duga oko 1,8 km i završava velikom plažom s kristalno čistim morem, idealnom za kupanje i opuštanje. Na plaži se nalazi mali bar ili restoran te mogućnost najma ležaljki i suncobrana.
Područje ima i povijesnu važnost, s ostacima rimske naseobine i bizantskih ruševina u blizini.
